New IQOS ILUMA 2026 & TEREA Alternatives
2026 is a big year for heated tobacco. The IQOS ILUMA range has expanded with the new ILUMA i series, and the market for TEREA alternatives has never been more competitive. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your device, explore new sticks, or find out what’s changed, this guide covers it all.
What’s New With IQOS ILUMA in 2026?
IQOS ILUMA i Series
The biggest IQOS news of 2026 is the IQOS ILUMA i range — an updated generation of the ILUMA lineup featuring refined design, improved materials, and enhanced LED feedback. The ILUMA i series includes:
- IQOS ILUMA i One — All-in-one, updated form factor, ideal for new users and moderate use
- IQOS ILUMA i Standard — Two-piece system with pocket charger, up to 2 consecutive uses
- IQOS ILUMA i Prime — Premium build, most refined ILUMA experience available
All ILUMA i devices are fully compatible with TEREA and LEVIA sticks — no change to consumables needed if you’re upgrading.
IQOS LEVIA Expansion
The LEVIA tobacco-free nicotine stick range has expanded in 2026 with additional flavour variants, giving IQOS ILUMA users more tobacco-free options than ever before.
The Best TEREA Alternatives in 2026
If you’re looking beyond TEREA — whether for price, flavour variety, or device compatibility — here are the strongest alternatives available in 2026:
1. IQOS LEVIA (Tobacco-Free)
The most seamless TEREA alternative for IQOS ILUMA users. LEVIA uses the same device, same technology, but delivers a tobacco-leaf-free nicotine experience with a flavour-forward range. Best for: ILUMA users who want to move away from tobacco leaf.
2. DELIA Heated Tobacco Sticks
Real tobacco sticks with broader device compatibility than TEREA. A focused, well-executed flavour range at a competitive price point. Best for: non-ILUMA device users, value-conscious buyers.
3. glo NeoSticks (for glo HILO)
The official sticks for the glo HILO device. A wide flavour range including tobacco, menthol, and flavoured variants. Best for: glo HILO users looking for variety.
4. Ploom EVO Sticks (for PloomX AURA)
Japan Tobacco International’s heated tobacco sticks for the PloomX AURA device. Five flavour variants with a distinctive character. Best for: PloomX users.
5. glo VEO / LYO Sticks (Tobacco-Free)
Tobacco-free heated sticks for glo and compatible devices. An alternative to LEVIA for non-ILUMA users who want a tobacco-leaf-free experience.

If you own an original IQOS ILUMA (Standard, One, or Prime), the ILUMA i offers a refined design and updated materials — but the core heating performance is the same. It’s worth upgrading if you want the latest hardware; if your current ILUMA is working well, there’s no urgent need to switch.
